VBS and Stuff

This morning I was scheduled in the nursery for Vacation Bible School.  I can definitely tell I'm getting old!  Thank goodness Ben had a playdate this afternoon so I was able to take a power nap. Everything went well, but I had to be up at 5 am to get myself and the children ready and fed.  We read the book of Genesis from the picture Bible, talked about God's creation, colored, and made animals from Playdough (ok, well I really made the animals, but you have to improvise sometimes :) Sadie ate the dough, then proceeded to spit it out all over the floor.  It is salty and she was hungry, so I understood why she tried it out :)

In other news, Greg received his Nebraska PA license today and Ben requested Dorothy Lynch dressing on his fish taco tonight in lieu of the sauce I had made. If you don't know, the first Dorothy Lynch factory was in Columbus, NE.  I guess we are really going to Columbus! Still seems so surreal to me, but I'm excited :)

Sprinklers and Mud

Yesterday, Greg turned on all of the sprinklers for the kids. Ben played a little football and Sadie rolled around in the mud.  She was a mess when she came into the house with Greg!

Today, we are going to a waterpark for some CLEAN water fun :)

Summer Has Begun

We have had a busy week thus far.  I scheduled 4 play dates for Ben! I am so lucky that he has friends with wonderful parents! We switch off from day to day, and he is able to go swimming and play at their houses, while I try to keep the house in order for the sell.  I took Ben and a friend to Chuck E. Cheese on one of our scheduled days.  They had a wonderful time!  Sadie did, too :)  I didn't have her stroller with me (panic), but realized she just loved riding the rides and sitting on the floor (doing her circle scoots) and watching the boys play.  The boys decided to divide their tickets evenly at the prize desk.  I thought that was so sweet!

This is Sadie's "if you don't put another token in this machine, I will throw a fit" face.

Greg was off yesterday and took Ben golfing. Ben needed some father/son time.

Today is a BIG day.  The realtor team will come to the house for a walk-through. I hope they all like it and try to sell it to their buyers!  Sadie is riding today, so that will get us out of the house for a while when they are here.  A BIG THANKS to Grandma Deb for taking the dogs. She drove 6 hours to meet Greg so we wouldn't have to kennel them or pack them up in the car every time we have a showing.  She has such a giving heart.

I can't believe today is June 1st! Time flies when you are moving to another state :)
It is becoming VERY warm in Texas -100 degrees forecasted today. Nebraska is looking more and more inviting :)

Today was the last day of school. This is Sadie's fan club :)

His teacher is the sweetest and gave me such a nice gift of Tyler Candle Company candles with a sweet card.  I gave her a big hug and thanked her for teaching my boy.

This is Sadie trying to destroy the documents for the sale of our house.  Is she trying to tell us something?

I know I'm going to be a mess the next few weeks, but I feel at peace with our decision.  I know it is part of our plan and it will all be fine when we get there :)

Happenings

Our house is officially on the market!  It has not been listed yet, but will be today. We have been so busy this week finishing up the small details.  I wish I could just go live in a hotel until it sells.  It is very difficult to make sure everything is put away. We have "family meetings" every night regarding this.

In other news, Ben graduated to his wolf status at Cub Scouts this past weekend :)

Ben, Miles, and Julian helped out at Martha's Kitchen

Sadie favorite things: yogurt pretzels and scooting in circles

Pray our house sells quickly!

The Declutter of 2011

My sister and mom are here to help me with this task.  It has been exhausting (mentally and physically).  It is so hard for me to get rid of things that have any sentimental value...that would be almost everything in the house.  Melissa has been so good about asking me "do you REALLY need it?". My mom has been behind us in each room, cleaning baseboards, floors, window sills, and more.  She loves to clean and is great at it!  Greg has been busy outside, trimming bushes and working on the roof.  Sadie and the boys (Ben, Miles, and Julian) have been champs during this whole "adventure", keeping themselves busy with whatever they can find.  The boys did ask if we could take them to Chuck E. Cheese yesterday. We just looked at them and said "um, no.".  I know they are starting to go crazy cooped up in this house. Yesterday, around 5 pm, we realized they were still in their pajamas, and we found a bag of cheetos in the room where they were watching cartoons :) Sadie is becoming annoyed too.  We put her in each room we are working on, but she tells us in her own way when she needs attention...by screaming REALLY loud.  Today, I am serving at Martha's Kitchen and the boys will travel along.  Ben always goes to serve, but it will be a new experience for Miles and Julian :)  They will love it!

MRI #2

I have no idea why my pictures will not upload, but I want to post anyway.

Sadie had her scheduled MRI yesterday and did very well.  I always hate to watch her while she is being sedated and getting an IV, but I wanted to be in there.  They only let me stay until she is fully sedated, but I'll take what I can get.  She had a 3T MRI, which is more detailed than her previous one.  We stayed the night in Dallas and tried to make it as enjoyable as possible, swimming and playing.  We knew she would be a bit groggy after, but she always comes out perfectly fine.  That girl wanted to eat and play!  It was a large hospital and they had me take her to recovery in a wheelchair which was new to me.  I felt like I had just given birth again. We will have the results in a week or so.

She was scheduled for hippotherapy today and I was a bit worried about her balance after sedation, but she had a wonderful ride.

My mother, sister, and nephews will be arriving tomorrow and I am a little apprehensive about the de-cluttering of our home, but I know they will make it happen.

The realtor will be here on Wednesday of next week and will list our house.  I am hoping for a quick sell :)
