We woke up sore and groggy after our first day at Disney, but a little caffeine can make all the difference! I was super excited about Animal Kingdom! We rode Expedition Everest (very scary, AWESOME), Triceratop Spin (for Sadie), and Dinosaur (little scary), and let the kids play in The Boneyard. We had a wonderful lunch of ribs and rotisserie chicken with beans and slaw. YUM. After lunch, we watched The Lion King and went on an amazing safari, where Ben learned about poaching. Ben said he was going to be a "poacher of poachers"! Ha!
As soon as we got on the bus, it started to pour. I mean POUR! The kind of rain where you can't see 2 inches in front of you. We were all SOAKED by the time we made it to our door. So much for the luau. But we were very lucky and were able to change our dinner reservations to Ohana, the restaurant that caters the luau. This restaurant serves you "family style", which, simply put, means you are going to walk out of there stuffed! We had a wonderful salad, potstickers, wings, broccoli, noodles, shrimp, chicken, steak, and pork! The rain had stopped by then, so we headed to the pool for a dip. A wonderful day!
