Happy Birthday Ben!

On May 14th, 2002, at 12:29 am, we met our sweet Ben.  Today is his 7th birthday.  We are so lucky that God gave us this amazing child. He is funny, creative, loving, competetive, and smart.  Let's not forget stubborn, manipulative, and mischevious.  That child can seriously talk us into anything! And I thought we were tough parents!  I wouldn't have it any other way. He makes me laugh every day.  And some of those days I really need it.  He loves his sister with all his heart and prays every night "for her muscles to get stronger".  He loves restaurants and hotels just like his mom, and power tools and video games just like his dad.  He has faith in God and loves reading The Bible.  He loves to learn and asks about a million questions a day, to which I reply "Google it".  I know he will be a world traveler one day! He loves to study about distant places and begs to vacation there.  Sorry, honey. Florida will have to do for now.  I can't wait to see the man he becomes.  He always talks about "being a good man one day".  These 7 years with Ben have been the best 7 years of our lives.
Last night, we planned to go out for his birthday dinner. Guess what he chose? Chinese take-out. What?! We tried to change his mind to no avail. He wanted Chinese food delivered to the house so he could play games with us and just hang out.  So, that's what we had.  We played more rounds of "hot and cold" outside and then opened his new (as seen on tv) Wandarama.  Greg surpised him with a new Wii game, so you can guess what happened from there...

Today is field day at Ben's school.  His requested birthday breakfast was a bean/cheese burrito (to give him energy of course)!

There's no better birthday gift than a free day at school, complete with sno cones (this is his 2nd) and a lunch catered by Texas Roadhouse!

Later, they will have Ben's Super Mario birthday cupcakes. As if there won't be enough sugar running through their veins!
